The Bridge to Bay Trail is a diverse trail system of boardwalks, riverwalks, rail trails and bike paths that extends along 50 miles of shoreline across St Clair County, Michigan. It includes 13 local units of government and passes through Port Huron, Marysville, St Clair, Marine City, and Algonac. It connects Algonac State Park to Lakeport State Park and past numerous municipal parks, museums, gazebos, and lighthouses. It is know for its picturesque views, charming towns, parks and beaches, freighter watching and the blue waters of Lake Huron, the St Clair River and Lake St Clair.

Leadership is provided from the Regional Trails Board (Board) with oversight by Friends of the St. Clair River. Support for activities comes from five local Trail Advisory Committees and ad-hoc Steering Committees.

Friends of the St. Clair River’s stepped into the Trail Coordinator role to serve as project manager providing core function and coordination for on the ground projects, liaison between trail partners, convene meetings of the Regional Trails Board, serve as the media spokesperson and conduct trail events and promotion.

The Board is a coalition of appointed stakeholders and community leaders invested in the direction of the Bridge to Bay Trail initiative. The Board makes decisions on the development of existing and future trails. Power for prioritization of spending and allocating funds is overseen jointly by the Board and Friends.

Yes. The Bridge to Bay Trail has a mix of facilities including road trails, sidepaths, bike lanes, paved shoulders, local bike routes, and park pathways. The website is mobile friendly, so you can always access information from your phone on the trail. You can also save any Google map on the website and then access from Google Maps on your phone.
