MARINE CITY RIVERWALK
Marine City’s historic downtown includes numerous parks that are interspersed between unique shopping and dining venues along it’s half-mile riverfront. Visitors enjoy a swimming beach, fishing, boating and scuba diving along the river.
Marine City is rich in Victorian architecture and a shipbuilding history. Historically, Marine City was known as a ship building center of the Great Lakes. Because of this status, many captains, sailors and shipbuilders made their homes here, as evidenced by the grand residential architecture throughout the historic downtown area. There are eight small parks dotted along the waterfront with marine artifacts that comprise the Marine City Outdoor Maritime Museum.
For everyone’s safety, please park or walk your bicycle on the riverwalk
